all-natural, pasture-raised meats
How We Care for the Animals & the Land
River Bend Farm is dedicated to producing healthy, all-natural meats for our local community. All our animals are humanely raised without antibiotics and hormones. Additionally, raising our animals in a natural, low-stress environment helps provide a more tender and appetizing product (plus happy and healthy animals). We also take care of our land, farming in a sustainable way that regenerates the soil. All the nutrients from the manure are recycled back into the soil. The cattle do the majority of the work, spreading nutrients for the next crop of grass as they graze. Manure from winter feeding areas is also spread back on the pastures and hay fields. We care for the soil to grow good grass to raise delicious meat! Looking to buy a Cow Share or Pork Share to fill the freezer? Want to order individual cuts? Shop Online!

Angus Beef

Berkshire Pork
Three hundred years ago - so legend has it - the Berkshire hog was discovered by Oliver Cromwell's army during the English Civil War in the shire of Berks in England. After the war, army veterans carried the news to the outside world of the wonderful hogs of Berks; larger than any other swine of that time and producing hams and bacon of rare quality and flavor.
Like our beef, our Berkshire pigs are raised all naturally (with no antibiotics or hormones), on wholesome grains supplemented with an abundance of garden scraps and loads of apples.

Pasture-Raised Lamb
Our lambs are born in the spring and spend the summer on pasture grazing alongside the ewes. Lamb shares are available seasonally, and individual cuts are available year-round.

Pasture-Raised Poultry
Pasture-raised chicken, turkey, and eggs are available through our sister operation, Gladstone Valley Pastured Poultry. The chickens follow the cows around the pastures in their mobile hen houses, feasting on a rich diet of grass, clover, bugs, and non-GMO grains, and fertilizing the pastures as they go.
